Amanda Bynes Arrested for Second DUI

It seems Amanda Bynes has suffered a setback in her recovery. The What I Like About You actress, 28, was arrested for driving under the influence on Sunday, Sept. 28, California Highway Patrol officer Leland Tang confirms in a statement to Us Weekly.

UPDATE: According to Officer Tang, Bynes was pulled over at around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. After she failed a field sobriety test, she was taken to the LAPD Van Nuys station, where she was given an evaluation. Police "determined she was under the influence of a drug" and charged her with DUI. TMZ reports she was held on $15,000 bail, which she later posted.

The former Nickelodeon star had been on probation since February 2014, when she struck a plea deal in connection with a DUI charge from June 2012. Bynes agreed to three years' probation, plus completion of an alcohol education course, in exchange for the charge against her being dismissed.

That ruling came after a period of intense turmoil for the current Fashion Institute student, who was admitted to a facility in Malibu last year following months of erratic behavior (amplified by her social media presence) and a string of run-ins with the law. She returned home in December and was said to be doing better.

"Amanda currently is on zero medication," attorney Tamar Arminak said in a statement to Us Weekly last April. "She's devoted to living her life as healthy as possible. Her family is closely involved with her day-to-day life, but they try to give her as much autonomy as possible."
